Abstract:
Environmentally responsible computing is a strategic priority across a vast majority of organizations conducting high performance research and development. In the HPC world, energy efficient computing is not only a cost-saving imperative but is also a key determinant of the progress that can be achieved in computing scale and performance. IBM is focused on helping clients address today's challenges around building energy efficient and sustainable computing infrastructure and is pursuing innovations from molecular to facility level to address future challenges. This presentation will discuss the technologies and processes available today to achieve energy efficiencies, cost reduction and environment impact as well as a preview of technologies that will enable exascale level computing in the future.
